What is your favourite vegetable?
Bell peppers are my favourite vegetable. 

What does a typical day working on FoodReach look like for you?
The day before deliveries, we make sure that we have everything in stock, and also make sure we have all paperwork ready so we build the order. And then if there are any questions, we’ll contact the people in charge. On the day of the deliveries, we double-check everything before the driver leaves including the proper temperature of the truck and correct order quantities. Once the driver comes back, I will collect the paperwork and make sure everything went okay. Sometimes there may be refusals, and if there are refusals, then I’ll make sure that the food that comes back is stored properly. Another part I help FoodReach with is receiving products like perishables, eggs, or dry products, ensuring that they are stored properly.  

What is your favourite part about working on the FoodReach Project?
My favourite part is when I used to drive and deliver to the various agencies. There are different cultures and different people, so sending help to those people, talking to them — they are really nice people, and I like ensuring that those people get the correct deliveries and food they need. 

What ingredients make FoodReach successful?
In my opinion, it’s not only teamwork. There are many things like food purchasing budget, quality of products, and variety of products. The good thing is that we have an experienced team now. If it was up to me, I would like to add more products and high-quality foods going to clients as they really need that food support so FoodReach is doing a good service by delivering food to different non-profit organizations. 

What else do you think FoodReach can do to address food insecurity?
FoodReach is really important to those agencies and is often the main source of food for these agencies. Increasing the volume of food, and properly budgeting to purchase more food will be able to help more people who are food insecure.
